Volleyball Falls in Five-Set Thriller

After forcing a winner-take-all fifth set, Central volleyball was narrowly defeated by the Bryant Bulldogs.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils opened up an early lead on the right Bulldogs, but Bryant was able to draw close. CCSU used some impressive rallies on defense to regain momentum and took the second set by eight points.
- Both teams traded runs in the second set. The Blue Devils had set point at 24-21, but a Bulldog run stole the set for Bryant.
- After dropping the third set, CCSU turned up the heat in the pivotal fourth. Scoring early and often, the Blue Devils built a lead to far for Bryant to answer from. The Bulldogs did not least be rest of the set, and dropped the fourth by 9 points, forcing a fifth.
- CCSU kept things close in the fifth, but dropped the fifth 15-13.
NOTES
- The Blue Devils are now 17-11 against the Bulldogs all time.
- CCSU had two players record 20+ digs on Saturday with Ashlyn Eisenga (22) and Tori Boulay (20)
- Emma Henderson paced the team with 13 kills.
