Freshman Morgan Woycik of the Central Connecticut volleyball team was named the Molten/Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday. Woycik claimed the award for the second straight week and has helped CCSU to a 4-2 start to the season.

Woycik averaged 2.17 kills on .250 hitting for the Blue Devils over the weekend at the Hartford Invitational. She posted nine kills in a 3-1 win over Manhattan on Friday and recorded 12 kills and hit .276 in a five-set setback to Hartford on Saturday. Woycik also recorded one solo block and four blocks assists.

Woycik is averaging 2.24 kills per set and hitting .264. She has added 25 blocks and seven digs.

The Blue Devils return to action at the Big Green Invitational in Hanover, NH, hosted by Dartmouth. CCSU will face Niagara and Dartmouth on Friday, before playing Army on Saturday.
