Volleyball Falls to Dartmouth
The Blue Devils fall to 6-5 on the season with the loss, but they have the chance to rebound with a match against Providence at 3:00 p.m.
The Central Connecticut volleyball team fell to Dartmouth in three sets on Saturday afternoon. Dartmouth took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-17. The loss drops the Blue Devils to 6-5 on the season and 1-1 in the Dartmouth Invitational.
The Blue Devils featured a balanced offensive attack in the match as seven players registered multiple kills. Senior Sara DeLacey led the way with nine kills in the match. DeLacey finished with a .353 hitting percentage. Juniors Jamie Rademacher and Jennifer Waddill each posted a team-high .400 hitting percentage, Rademacher recorded six kills and Waddill five.
Defensively, the Blue Devils were led by 14 digs from freshman Brittany Schumacher and a pair of blocks from Waddill and DeLacey.
Senior Danielle Gasser recorded 29 assists in the match. She was also four-of-seven on the attack.
The Blue Devils will start their final game of the Dartmouth Invitational at 3 p.m.
