Morabito Breaks 1000m School Record in Raleigh Relays on Friday

CCSU track and field competed on day two of the Raleigh Relays meet in Raleigh, NC. Brooke Morabito broke the school's 1000m record to cap a solid outing for The Blue Devils.

RESULTS:

TRACK:

• Brooke Morabito broke the school record (Angie Rafter 2022) in the 10k after running it in 33:43.98. 
• Edward Williams Jr.  placed 15th in the 110m hurdles (14.17). 
• Tamara Rawles finished 47th (57.98) in the 400m and Adriana Brathwaite  took 50th (58.19).
• Williams Jr placed 22nd in the 100m dash (10.61) and Tristan Burke placed 50th (10.90).
• Noah Colangelo took home a 20th-place finish in the 400m with a time of 48.85. KyMoy Phillip finished in 44th (49.98). 
• Maegan Desmarais placed 48th in the 3000m Steeple with a time of 11:31.27. 

FIELD:

• Alissa Hurd tied for seventh with athletes from Duke and Notre Dame in the high jump with a 1.65m jump. 

The Blue Devils compete on Saturday in day three of the Raleigh Relays with events starting at 9:30 am.
