CCSU women’s track and field competed at the Holy Cross Invitational in Worcester, MA today. The Blue Devils took fifth place overall, snagging 45 points.

CCSU women's track and field competed at the Holy Cross Invitational in Worcester, MA today. The Blue Devils took fifth place overall, snagging 45 points. 

RESULTS 

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Tamara Rawles placed third in the 200m dash with a time of 25.50. 

  • Rawles had her second top-five finish in the 100m dash, snagging fifth place (12.36). 

  • Brooke Morabito crossed the finish line in 4:39.10 in the 1,500m race, good for second place. 

  • Christianna Morley notched a new collegiate best in the 400m hurdles, coming in at 1:10.35 to place fourth. 

  • Maegan Desmarais finished third in the 2,000m steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 7:05.19 (collegiate best). 

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Aaliyah Walker placed second in the triple jump, leaping 11.35m. 

  • Marina Perry snagged a new collegiate best and took fifth in the discus throw with a 42.07m toss. 

UP NEXT... 

Central will host their Blue Devils Invite on Friday, April 28th in New Britain, CT. Ashley Dana will also be competing at the Penn Relays meet hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
