Rafter & Dana Shatter Records on Final Day of the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships

CCSU women's track and field tied up their indoor season today at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships hosted by Boston University in Boston, MA. Two Blue Devils broke their own school records this weekend including Ashley Dana in the 1000m event and Angie Rafter in the mile.

CCSU women's track and field tied up their indoor season today at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships hosted by Boston University in Boston, MA. Two Blue Devils broke their own school records this weekend including Ashley Dana in the 1000m event and Angie Rafter in the mile. The women placed eighth overall, collecting 29 points.

  • Dana broke her own school record (2:48.99) in the 1000m race, not once, but twice this weekend. She improved her record to 2:48.28 during prelims and took home second place in the final, running even faster, with a time of 2:46.58.  

  • Angie Rafter was the winner of the mile, crushing her previous record of 4:44.96, with a time of 4:40.38. 

  • Rafter also ran the 3,000m race, finishing fourth in 9:27.58. 

  • Aaliyah Walker competed in the triple jump, leaping 11.12m to place 17th.
