Rafter Takes NEC Athlete of the Week Honors

After a strong showing at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, in Boston, MA, Angie Rafter has been selected as Athlete of the Week by the Northeast Conference.

After a strong showing at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, in Boston, MA, Angie Rafter has been selected as Athlete of the Week by the Northeast Conference.  

Rafter picked up where she left off, setting a Central Connecticut program record Saturday afternoon, stopping the clock at 15:57.74 in the 5,000m. The time is also a personal-best. 

Rafter placed 32nd in the event, out of a field of 144 runners. 

Rafter and the Blue Devils will be back in action on January 6th at the Wagner Invite in Staten Island, NY.
