Angie Rafter Crowned NEC Track Athlete of the Week

Distance runner Angie Rafter of the women's track and field team was named the Northeast Conference Track Athlete of the Week announced on Wednesday. The Danielson, CT took first place in the 3000 meter steeplechase run at the CCSU Blue Devil Invite over the weekend.

Rafter took gold in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase run with a time of 10:46.10. She earned 5 points for CCSU, who finished in second place on Saturday with 71 points as a team. Her steeplechase time was the best in the Northeast Conference over the week.
