Mondo Runs At Sam Howell, Women's Track to Compete in Miami and Yale
Junior Madeline Mondo finished in seventh in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at Princeton.
Kicking off the weekend for the Central Connecticut women's outdoor track and field team was junior Madeline Mondo who finished in seventh place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational. Mondo crossed the finished line at 11:13.60.
The Blue Devils will split up on Saturday, April 7 for the Hurricane Alumni Invitational at the University of Miami and the Mark Young Invitational at Yale.
Senior Melissa Wolliston will run in the 100 meter hurdles at 3:45 p.m. and the and 200 meter dash at 6:35 p.m. Joining the veteran in the 100m hurdles will by junior Sierra Nesmith and sophomore Hailey Rospierski. Nesmith will run in the 400m hurdles at 5:40 p.m. and Rospierski will also compete in the high jump at 4:00 p.m. Junior McKenna Kilian will compete in the heptathlon that begins at 11:00 a.m.
The rest of the women's squad will head to New Haven, CT to compete in the 2018 Mark Young Invitational. Field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the track events will begin at 12:00 p.m. Results will be posted after they become available.
