Kilian Breaks Pentathlon School Record at ECAC Championships on Friday
Junior McKenna Kilian broke the 30-year old CCSU pentathlon school record on Friday.
Junior McKenna Kilian represented the Central Connecticut women's indoor track and field team with a third place finish in the 2018 ECAC Pentathlon Championship on Friday, March 2 at the BU Track and Tennis Center. Kilian broke the 30-year old CCSU school record with a grand total of 3,497 points, surpassing the old record of 3,485 points set by Jackie Adams in 1988.
Kilian placed second in the high jump, tying her personal record of 1.63 meters to gain 771 points toward her total. The junior recorded 807 points in the 800-meter run with a personal record time of 2:21.22 to place third in the event.
In the long jump, Kilian placed third with a jump of 5.30 meters to score 643 points. The junior also threw for 9.18 meters in the shot put to score 476 points.
Kilian placed 12th in the 60-meter hurdles after running a time of 9.54 seconds to earn 800 points.
