Saunders Fourth at ECAC Championships Sunday
Junior Ronea Saunders wrapped up IC4A/ECAC competition for the Blue Devils Sunday in the high jump.
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team completed competition at the 2014 ECAC Outdoor Championships in Princeton, NJ on Sunday with a top-five performance in the high jump event.
Junior Ronea Saunders finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.76 meters. She finished just behind fellow NEC competitor Kyaira Wright-Harmon of LIU Brooklyn. The pair finished first and second at the 2014 NEC Outdoor Championships.
On Saturday, senior Shelby Tuttle was the only Blue Devil to compete in an individual event. She finished 15th in the 100m hurdle prelims with her time of 15.37 seconds.
Tuttle also raced in the 4x100m relay preliminaries Saturday along with Saunders, sophomore Alyssa Gonzalez and freshman Sherise Truman. The squad finished 15th with a time of 48.04 seconds.
