Diving Opens 2022-23 Campaign At Fairfield Invite

Botthroyd takes second on 1-meter board

The Central Connecticut swimming and diving campaign got underway Friday night with diving events at the Fairfield Invitational. The team competed on both boards with a six-dive optional list.

Diving RESULTS

1-Meter Results

  • Elyse Boothroyd was the Blue Devils top finisher, with a second-place showing, totalling 209.6 points
  • Zoe Baker was fourth on the low board, compiling 205.75 points
  • Jewelle Maziarz scored 1387.765 for eighth place to round out the 1-meter effort for the Blue Devils

3-Meter Results

  • Boothroyd scored 202.60 points on the 3-meter board, good for fourth
  • Baker fiinished in sixth place with 194.05 points, while Maziarz placed 11th with 165.55 points

The Blue Devils swimmers hit the pool on Saturday for the swimming portion of the Fairfield Invitational.
