Swimming and Diving Takes Second in Both Relays at NEC Championships on Wednesday
Thursday's prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. with the 500 freestyle.
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team posted a pair of second-place finishes on the opening night of the Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday. The Championships are being held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, NY.

KEY PERFORMANCES | RESULTS
- Central placed second in the first event of the night, the 200 yard medley relay. CCSU's team of sophomores Hallie Perrin, Mariana Espino, junior Katelyn Mann and sophomore Jeannette King touched the wall second in a time of 1:43.47, beating Wagner by 0:00.01 for second-place.
- The Blue Devils took second in the 800 yard freestyle relay also. The team of senior Erika Maercklein, freshman Shannon Welcome, sophomore Katie Czulewicz and sophomore Simona Visinski turned in a time of 7:25.02, just behind Bryant.
UP NEXT
Thursday's prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. with the 500 freestyle. Also being contested on Thursday at the 200 yard IM, the 50 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle relay. The one-meter dive prelims will also take place on Wednesday beginning at approximately Noon. Finals on Thursday night begin at 6:00 p.m.
