Durham Places 30th in 3-Meter at NCAA Diving Zones
The senior competed in the one-meter event on Monday.
Senior Annemarie Durham placed 30th in the three-meter diving event in the 2018 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships at the Rutgers Aquatic Center on Tuesday. Durham competed in the one-meter event on Monday, placing 34th. The reigning Northeast Conference Outstanding Diver of the Meet was competing in the regionals for the second straight season.
Durham scored 224.80 in the preliminary round to place 30th in the three-meter event. Durham swept both the one-meter and three-meter diving events at the NEC Chamionships for the last two seasons. She holds the program-record and set an NEC mark with a score of 280 in the three-meter event en route to being named Outstanding Diver of the Meet. She holds the CCSU and NEC records in both events
The top five divers from each event at their respective zone diving meet will be eligible to compete at the NCAA championships. Additional place finishers in each event at each zone will be eligible based on the number of student-athletes from that zone who finished in the top 16 in that event at the previous year's NCAA championships.
