Maddy Garber Competes at USA Swimming National Championships
Rising senior continues to add to already impressive swimming resume
Maddy Garber, a rising senior in 2017-18, competed in the USA Swimming National Championships this week. The 2017 Northeast Conference Most Outstanding Swimmer finished in the top-50 in both the 50 breaststroke and the 100 breaststroke being held in Indianapolis, IN.
Garber finished in 47th place overall on Thursday in the 50 meter breaststroke with a time of 33.17. On Friday she finished in 44th place in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:11.81. She was fourth in her heat on Friday.
Garber was named the 2017 Northeast Conference Swimmer of the Meet and set school- and NEC-records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. She helped lead the Blue Devils to their third straight NEC title and swam at the NCAA Championships.
