Garber Set to Swim at US Olympic Trials
Blue Devils standout to compete in two events in attempt to qualify for the Olympics.
Sophomore Maddy Garber of the Central Connecticut swimming and diving team will compete at the 2016 US Olympic Trials in Omaha, NE. The top two qualifiers in each event will qualify for the United States Olympic Team to compete at this summer's Rio Olympics.

Garber will compete in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Garber is the Northeast Conference and CCSU record-holder in both events. She will swim in the prelims for the 100 breaststroke on Monday, June 27, at 11:15 a.m. CDT and in the 200 breaststroke on Thursday, June 30, at 11:06 a.m. CDT.
The top 16 in each event will advance to the semifinals to be held at 6:45 p.m. on the same night. The finals will feature the top eight competitors the following night, with the top two qualifying for the USA Olympic Team.
The Trials will be shown exclusively across NBC networks and mobile platforms. Prelims will be LIVE daily at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the NBC Sports app. NBC's comprehensive live streaming from the Trials will include all of the prelims and finals sessions.
