CCSU Swimming Competes at #29 Florida Gulf Coast with #17 NC State and Liberty
Blue Devils will be home for their next two meets
The Central Connecticut women's swimming team competed at Florida Gult Coast University on Saturday morning, squaring off against the host and 29th ranked FGCU, #17 N.C. State and Liberty University. The Blue Devils dropped all three contests, but head coach Bill Ball has been pleased with his team's work so far on their training trip.
"We had a solid meet and went up against some very strong competition today," Ball said. "Any time you can get in the pool against nationally-ranked competition is a plus. This trip has been about setting ourselves up to peak at the right time, and I'm happy with where we are right now. We still have some work to do and we're looking forward to getting back in our home pool for the next two meets."
The Blue Devils will be back in action at home on Saturday, Jan. 23 vs. LIU Brooklyn, and then again on Saturday, Jan. 30 vs. Sacred Heart, also at home. Following a trip to Wagner on Feb. 6, the Blue Devils will then prepare to defend their Northeast Conference title beginning on Feb. 24 at MIT.
