Swimming Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Award
Blue Devils posted a team GPA of 3.21 this spring
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team was named a 2014 Spring College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team on Thursday. The Blue Devils posted a team grade point average of 3.21, third among all teams in the Northeast Conference.
This marks the 41st time the Blue Devils have won the award in the last 44 semesters. The Team Scholar All American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester coinciding with the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
