Goldman Claims Third-Straight NEC Diver of the Week
Sophomore Jessica Goldman was named NEC Diver of the Week for the third-straight week on Tuesday.
Central Connecticut diver Jessica Goldman was named NEC Diver of the Week for the third-consecutive week after her winning performance on Saturday at the Blue Devil Diving Invitational, the conference announced Tuesday.
With her third NEC weekly award, Goldman continues her impressive sophomore campaign. This week at the Blue Devil Diving Invitational, she was the highest-placing CCSU diver from both the the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.
Goldman claimed the victory in the 1-meter event, registering an impressive score of 247.00, a new career-best for the sophomore. From 3-meters, Goldman took second place, tallying 218.40 points.
CCSU competed against Bryant and Fairfield in the meet hosted by CCSU at the Jack Suydam Natatorium in New Britain, CT.
Central swimming and diving will remain at home as the Blue Devils host Bryant and New Hampshire this Saturday, Nov. 2. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
