Blue Devils Fall to FIU on the Road
Central dropped a decision to Florida International on the road this Saturday.
The Central Connecticut swimming & diving team dropped a 174-120 decision to Florida International on a road trip this Saturday. The dual-meet was held at the Bay Vista Aquatics Center in Miami, FL.
The Blue Devils started off the day strong with a win in the 400 yard medley relay finishing in a time of 3:59.94. The team was comprised of sophomore Helene Neuhaus, sophomore Kristina Gulia, junior Katie Lang, and junior Taylor Friedmann.
Gulia claimed first place in the 100 yard breaststroke touching the wall at 1:08.64 and Neuhaus won the 50 yard freestyle in 25.22. Swimming right along with FIU's Klara Andersson, senior Alex Czaplicki tied Andersson for first place in the 100 yard freestyle (54.44).
On the boards for Central senior Madison Vestergaard scored a 255.08 in 3m diving, good for second place.
Central continues their road trip traveling to Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. The dual-meet is scheduled for January 28th.
