Burgess and Horgan Lead Blue Devils To 2-1 Win Over St. Francis

The Central Connecticut women's soccer team pulled out the victory for their first conference victory off goals from Abbie Burgess and Aoife Horgan.

• Central Connecticut put six shots on goal in the first half and kept the pressure on the St. Francis keeper throughout the match with a total of 12 shots on goal.
• With 14 minutes left in the second half The Blue Devils put 3 shots on goal including one off the post and two saved by the Red Flash Goalkeeper. 
• In the 79^th minute Abbie Burgess gave the Blue Devils its first lead with a beautiful shot up and over the goalie off an assist by Emma Radoncic.
• With seven minutes left to play Aoife Horgan netted her fifth goal of the season when she sent a shot in past the goalkeeper, McConnon to put the Blue Devils in front 2-0. 
• A penalty kick was awarded and scored by the Red Flash with one minute left to play to make it 2-1 CCSU.
