CCSU to Host FDU in NEC Tournament Semifinal Game

The Central Connecticut women’s soccer team will host Fairleigh Dickinson in the NEC Tournament Semifinal game on Thursday.

The Central Connecticut women's soccer team will host Fairleigh Dickinson in the NEC Tournament Semifinal game on Thursday. Kick-off is set for 1:00pm. The game will stream on NEC Front Row with Jimmie Clark and Shaun Green calling the action. 

  • CCSU went 9-5-2 in the regular season and 7-0-2 in conference play.  

  • The Blue Devils secured their fifth straight NEC regular season title after beating SFU 2-0 at home last week. 

  • Central faced off against FDU in the NEC Championship game last year, beating the Knights 3-0 to win their fourth straight NEC Championship. 

  • CCSU and FDU tied in their matchup during the regular season 1-1.  

  • The Blue Devils are 26-9 all-time in NEC Tournament play and this is the ninth time in the last ten years that they have qualified for the NEC Tournament. 

  • With a CCSU win the Blue Devils will advance to the NEC Championship game for a chance to win their fifth straight NEC Championship (13th overall and 11th under Mick D'Arcy).
