Women's Soccer Announces 2018 Schedule
The Blue Devils will play nine home games.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer program and head coach Mick D'Arcy announced the schedule for the 2018 season on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will play 17 games in the upcoming season.
CCSU will open the campaign with a home game against Massachusetts at CCSU Soccer Field on Sunday, August 19, at 6:00 p.m. In all, the Blue Devils' schedule features 10 home games.
Central will also host non-conference contests against Yale (Aug. 30), Rhode Island (Sept. 6), Lafayette (Sept. 9), and Seton Hall (Sept. 16).
The Blue Devils will kick off the Northeast Conference portion of their schedule on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Robert Morris. CCSU's first NEC home game will be against Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, Sept. 28, at 6:00 p.m.
Central will also host conference games against Sacred Heart (Oct. 5), Bryant (Oct. 12) and Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 19).
Home games will be broadcast online, for free, on NEC Front Row. The Blue Devils went 10-8 overall, including a 6-2 record in NEC play, in 2017. CCSU qualified for the NEC Tournament before falling in the semifinals to the eventual champion, Saint Francis U.
The Northeast Conference tournament will take place on November 2 and 4. All games of the 2018 NEC Women's Soccer Tournament will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row. The top four finishers, based on winning percentage during the league's regular season will qualify for the tournament. The high seed will host the entire event.
