Women's Soccer Travels to Sacred Heart Sunday
The Blue Devils will go head-to-head with in-state rival Sacred Heart at noon.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team embarks on a short road trip down to Fairfield, CT to take on Sacred Heart on Sunday, Oct. 8 at noon. The Blue Devils seek their first conference win after falling to FDU and Mount St. Mary's in the first two games of Northeast Conference play.
The Pioneers come into Sunday's match on a two-game winning streak last defeating the Mountaineers and Robert Morris. SHU is currently in a three-way tie for first place in the conference with an NEC record of 2-1 and 5-8 overall. CCSU stands at 0-2 and 4-7 on the season.

Sacred Heart is led by junior Alex Mesropyan with points and goals with nine and four on the year, respectively. The Blue Devils are second in the league in overall goals against average only allowing 1.18 per game.
Central holds a 15-6-5 advantage in the series history with Pioneers. Last season the New Britain squad swept Sacred Heart in two shutout victories including an exciting NEC semifinal 3-0 win.
