Providence Welcomes Women's Soccer Sunday
CCSU looks to make it three in a row Sunday night at Providence.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team heads to Providence on Sunday, Aug. 27 afternoon for a 7:00 p.m. showdown at Chapey Field. The match will be broadcasted on YurView (Cox 4 & 1004 HD).
Sunday's game between the Friars and the Blue Devils marks the fifth meeting in program history. Providence leads the series 3-1-0 and topped CCSU during the 2016 season 3-1 at CCSU Soccer Field.

Most recently, Central walked away with an exciting victory on the road at the Atlantic 10's, Rhode Island Rams, on Thursday night. Senior Jennifer Cafferky headed in the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation. Providence previously fell to Ivy League foe Harvard in a 1-0 battle on Friday, Aug. 25.
Following Sunday, the Blue Devils will host its first annual CCSU Soccer Tournament Labor Day weekend on Sept. 1-3. The tournament invites Harvard, St. Johns, and Connecticut for a full weekend of soccer action.
St. Johns and Connecticut will kick off the tournament Friday, Sept. 1 at 4:30 p.m.. The Blue Devils are scheduled to battle with Harvard at 7:00 p.m. All four teams will finish out the tourament on Sunday, Sept. 3.
