Bio

Head women’s lacrosse coach Princess Livingston has announced that Stephanie Bianco has been named as an assistant coach for the Blue Devils.  Bianco most recently served as an assistant coach at Quinnipiac University during the 2016 season.

"I am excited to add Stephanie to our coaching staff,” Livingston said on Thursday. “She brings a great passion for lacrosse as well as strong motivation to inspire student-athletes to be their best on the field and in the classroom.  Stephanie’s possesses a significant amount of knowledge on what it takes to be a part of a building program through her collegiate and coaching experience. With her help we look to improve on the draw circle and offensive end."

Prior to her time with Quinnipiac Bianco served as an assistant coach at SUNY New Paltz for the 2015 season.  At New Paltz her responsibilities included running the day-to-day operations of the program as well as developing and maintaining the program’s recruiting plan.  She also handled opponent scouting duties and developed practice plans.

Bianco began her coaching career in 2013 as a volunteer with the Upper Merion Lacrosse Club in Philadelphia, PA.  She also served at the junior varsity lacrosse coach at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia for two seasons in 2013 and 2014.

Bianco was a two-time team captain at IUP, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2012. In her last two seasons Bianco led the Crimson Hawks to a pair 11-win seasons, matching the school mark for the most wins in a single-season and earning a spot in the PSAC Tournament for the first time in program history.

She was a two-time All-PSAC Second Team honoree (2010 and 2012) while also being named to the IWLCA All-Region Second Team in 2012. She finished her career with 120 goals and 19 assists, good for 139 points. Bianco also led IUP in draw controls in each of her four seasons, tallying 287 for her career and setting a single-season school record with 92 as a senior.

A native of Philadelphia, Bianco graduated Magna cum Laude from IUP. Upon graduation, she went on to earn a Pennsylvania State Teacher Instructional I Certificate in January 2013.  She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Sport Administration from SUNY Cortland.
