Bio

Former Central Connecticut goalkeeper Amanda Zabel return to the Blue Devils as an assistant coach for the 2018 season.  Zabel was deemed captain for the Blue Devils during her time as a student-athlete from 2003-2007.  She most recently served as an assistant coach at Sacred Heart from 2010-2013.

With the Pioneers, Zabel was responsible for recruiting and administrative team duties in addition to coaching.

As a Blue Devil women's lacrosse goalkeeper, Zabel received the 2006 NEC Academic Achievement Award and was an NCAA Leadership Conference nominee and participant in 2006. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. Zabel furthered her education by earning a Masters of Science in Criminal Justice in 2013 at the University of New Haven and received a CEU 3 in Accounting at Machester Community College in 2015.

In addition to her assistant coach position at CCSU, Zabel works at the Connecticut General Assembly and resides in Burlington, CT.
