The Central Connecticut State lacrosse team fell 24-3 to host Northeast Conference foe Stonehill on Saturday. The Blue Devils fall to 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the league, while the Skyhawks improve to 4-6 on the season and 3-2 in the NEC.

The Blue Devils return to action next Saturday with a road game at Saint Francis University. Game time is set for 1:00 pm.

KEY MOMENTS

  • Stonehill scored seven times in the opening period while holding the Blue Devils scoreless
  • Brieanna Bernier put CCSU on the board 65 seconds into the second quarter with an unassisted goal
  • The Skyhawks scored 15 unanswered goals in a run that lasted into the fourth quarter
  • Lauren Valluzzi scored an even-strength goal with 8:10 to play in regulation for CCSU
  • Makayla Winegar netted a Talie Richardson pass with 84 ticks left on the clock to round out the scoring
