Lacrosse Drops Season Opener at LIU

The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team dropped the season opener 13-4 at LIU on Saturday. The Blue Devils (0-1) were led by Morgan Sinton who scored two goals. Freshman Katelyn Parker and Eliz Fino each scored their first career goal for CCSU.

Sophomore Alexandra Ruel put up 4 shots, including 2 on goal. Each team recorded 8 saves on the afternoon.  

Paige Sherlock led LIU (1-0) scoring 4 goals. Jamie Alvino and Amanda Masullo each added 3 points for the Sharks.

• Central had just 12 shots on goal while LIU attempted 21.
