Women's Lacrosse Drops Decision on the Road at Army
Blue Devils are back in action at New Hampshire on Saturday
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team dropped to 0-2 on the season with a 21-4 setback on the road at Army on Wednesday afternoon. Army improves to 2-1 with their second straight victory. The Blue Devils return to action on Saturday on the road at New Hampshire beginning at 1 p.m.
Sophomore Morgan Sinton led the offense with a pair of goals, one coming in each half. She is second on the team in scoring this season with three goals. Classmate Cameron Ruberti added a goal and one assist in the game. Sophomore Megan Szawlowski posted her team-high fourth goal of the season in the second half.
Junior Jackie Branthover and freshman Meaghan Allard combined to make seven saves in goal for the Blue Devils.
Army was led by Megan Raftery, Jackie Brattan and Rachel Hornick who each had three goals in the game. Three Army goalkeepers combined to make seven stops in goal in the victory.
The Blue Devils return to action on the road at New Hampshire on Saturday at 1 p.m.
