Szalowski Named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week

Freshman midfielder Megan Szawlowski was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on monday.  Szawlowski is the leading scorer for the Blue Devils in her first season in New Britain.  

Szawlowski paced Central Connecticut's offense in pair of contests against Patriot League foes. In a close 13-11 loss to Army on Wednesday, Szawlowski tallied seven points on two goals and a career-high five assists. Five of those points came in the second half as the Blue Devils nearly erased a four-goal deficit.

Szawlowski followed with a goal and an assist in a setback to Lafayette on Saturday. The Leeds, MA native also compiled eight draw controls on the week. She leads CCSU with nine goals and 15 assists on the year.
