Women's Lacrosse Opens Season on Saturday vs. Quinnipiac (at Yale) at 4 p.m.
First year head coach Princess Livingston leads the Blue Devils
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team opens the 2017 season on Saturday on the road vs. Quinnipiac at 4 p.m. The game will be played at Yale University. Central is under the direction of first year head coach Princess Livingston.

Central is led by its three senior captains, Kelsey Murphy, Marissa Soto and Alexandra Hooker. Last season the Blue Devils finished the year 3-13 overall and 2-5 in Northeast Conference play. Hooker missed most of last season with an injury but she did score four goals in four games played.
Murphy was a Second Team All-NEC selection a year ago for the Blue Devils on defense. Classmate Courtney McPartland was a First Team pick, also on defense.
Junior Kylie Sullivan is the leading returning scorer for the Blue Devils with 10 goals and a team-best 18 assists.
Soto is the leading returning goal scorer as she tallied 19 goals on the season a year ago.
Sophomore Jackie Branthover returns in goal for CCSU, having registered over 900 minutes a year ago in her first season. She posted three wins and made 135 saves in 16 starts. She was a Second Team All-NEC pick as well as a member of the All-Rookie Team.
