Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Navy Spring Invitational
Blue Devils move up one spot with day two score of 336
The Central Connecticut women's golf team shot a day two score of 336 and moved up to finish in sixth place overall at the Navy Spring Invitational on Saturday. The Blue Devils finished with a two round score of 680, just three shots back of fifth place.
Freshman Megan McLean finished in a tie for 17th place overall after shooting an 85 on Saturday. She finished with a two round score of 168. Senior teammate Tara Whelan also shot 168 include an 84 on Saturday, matching her 84 from Friday.
Senior Cecy Gutierrez shot a team-best score of 82 on Saturday and finished in a tie for 29th place overall with a two round score of 172.
Freshman Olivia Gardenhour shot an 85 on Saturday and finished in 36th place overall, finishing with a final score of 174. Freshman Alexa Brown shot 87 on Saturday and tied for 37th place overall.
