Gardenhour Fifth, Blue Devils 11th at Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Tuesday
Freshman ties for fifth place with 227 total
Freshman Olivia Gardenhour shot a three round total of 227 and finished in a tie for fifth place overall after the third and final round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The tournament was hosted by William and Mary and was played at the Kingsmill Resort-River Course in Williamsburg, VA. As a team the Blue Devils finished in 11th place overall.
Akron won the tournament, followed by St. John's, Richmond, William and Mary and then Illinois State. The Blue Devils were 11th, followed by Sacred Heart, LIU Brooklyn, Saint Francis U and LaSalle.
Gardenhour posted a final round score of 76, the third-best overall round of the entire round, to finish with a score of 227 (+11) for the three round tournament. She shot 77-74 on Monday.
Classmate Meghan McLean finished in 28th place after a three round score of 238 (+22), including an 83 on Tuesday. Senior Tara Whelan fired an 88 on Tuesday and finished at 247 in a tie for 49th place overall. Here first two round on Monday were 78-81.
Freshman Alexa Brown shot 84-88-90 and finished in a tie for 75th place overall. Senior Cecy Gutierrez shot 86-85-92 and also tied for 75th place. Freshman Roxanne Garceau, playing as an individual, shot 87-93-89 to finished in 78th place overall.
