2015-16: Participated in all 21 rounds of golf for the Blue Devils... Averaged a score of 83.5 as a sophomore... Finished first on the team at Hartford Invite, coming in sixth place overall, shooting a 158 (80-78)... Tied for third place in the standings at Monmouth for a 78 round effort... Also totaled 1,754 strokes on the year.

2014-15: Played all 22 rounds as a freshman for Central...Ranked second on the team with a scoring average of 81.1...Posted two top-10 finishes on the season, including a fifth-place finish at the Rutgers Invitational...Fired a 75 and 76 at the Rutgers Invitational...Shot a season-low 74 in the opening round of the Brown Bear Invitational... Shot two rounds of 74 at the IUPUI/Valpo Match Play...Finished 17th at the Northeast Conference Championship...Earned a spot on the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Before Central: Whelan won the 2013 East Leinster Girls Plate and qualified in the top-15 of the Irish Girls Close Championship....Holds the women's course record at her home course, East Clare Golf Course, with a score of even par 72...She is an experienced team player as well, as Whelan was selected to the Munster Girls team in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013...In 2012, she helped Munster to the Girls Interprovincial Title for the first time in 20 years, while also winning All-Ireland's.
