Women's Golf in Fourth Place After Day One at Dartmouth Invitational
Blue Devils shoot a team score of 308 on Saturday
The Central Connecticut women's golf team completed the first day of the 14-team Dartmouth Invitational and sits in fourth place after a first round team score of 308. The tournament is being played at Hanover Country Club.
Boston College led the field with a 283 (-5), followed by Darmouth (301, +13), St. John's (306, +18), Central Connecticut (308, +20) and Dartmouth B (309, +21) round out the top five. Sacred Heart (316, +28) Quinnipiac and Hartford (317, +29), Wagner (318, +30), Boston University (321, +33), Siena (323, +35), Albany (325, +37), Fairfield (340, +52) and Holy Cross (367, +79) round out the field after the first day.
Freshman Kristyna Abrahamova led the way for the Blue Devils on Saturday with a score of 75 (+3). She is tied for 11th place overall in the tournament.
Senior Ella Williams is tied for 15th place overall with a score of 76. Junior Cecy Gutierrez shot a 78 and is tied for 24th place.
Senior Kaitlyn Stoddart fired a 79 and is tied for 27th overall. Junior Tara Whelan is tied for 52nd overall after a round one score of 83.
The second and final round takes place on Sunday.
