Bio

Kerri Reaves begins her 16th season on the women’s basketball staff at Central Connecticut State University in 2022-23. Reaves took over as leader of the women’s program ahead of the 2020-21 season.
 
Reaves, who came to New Britain after serving as an assistant at Providence, will begin her third season as head coach of the Blue Devils.
 
Prior to arriving at CCSU, Reaves spent two seasons in her second stint as an assistant coach for the Friars. In addition to acting as the team’s academic liaison, Reaves’s responsibilities included recruiting, working with the Friar wing players and on-floor coaching. She also served as an assistant coach with Providence for six seasons from 1996-2002. From 1999-2002, the former Marquette standout was the recruiting coordinator for the Friars.
 
Before her return to Providence College, Reaves 
spent 2002-05 as the head women’s basketball coach at Saint Leo University, an NCAA Division II program affiliated with the Sunshine State Conference.
 
Reaves, a 1996 graduate of Marquette University, played for the Golden Eagles from 1991-95. She finished her career at Marquette among the top-10 all-time in scoring (1,203 points), rebounding (608 rebounds), free-throws made (297), steals (195), three-point field goals made (84) and blocked shots (47).
 
She led the Golden Eagles to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament in 1993 as a sophomore and, as team captain, helped guide the program to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in 1994 and 1995. During her four-year career, Marquette posted a 79-41 record.
 
Upon completion of her eligibility, Reaves worked as a student assistant with the Golden Eagles during the 1995-96 season.
