Women’s Basketball Wraps Non-Conference Slate at Morgan State Wednesday

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team plays its final non-conference game on Wednesday at Fordham. The 5:30 p.m. game will be streamed on the Morgan State website.

• Samora Watson is the league's leading scorer at 17.7 ppg and delivered back-to-back 20-point outings to help lead Central Connecticut to a 1-1 record last week. 
• The sophomore guard now owns the league's three best scoring games this season after she followed a 27-point effort in a double-digit win over Colgate on Monday with 28 points at Big Ten foe Penn State two days later. She sits on top of the NEC charts and 7th in the NCAA with her 38-point performance at New Hampshire (Dec. 3), In the victory over Colgate, she pulled down 12 rebounds to tally her first career double-double.

• Belle Lanpher leads the team in assists (3.3), and steals (2.3), and is second on the team in scoring (13ppg).
• The senior guard has increased her scoring production by 5 points per game since last season.
• She combined to distribute 10 assists in the past two games and ranks 4th in the NEC in assists-turnover ratio (0.9).
• Ally Sentance has settled into a starting role, averaging 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in the past two games.
