Women's Basketball to Host UHart on Wednedsay Night

Central Connecticut will host the University of Hartford on Wednesday night at Detrick Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 7:00pm. This will be the second time this season that the Blue Devils and the Hawks will go head-to-head. Central currently has a three game winning streak against UHart and the last time they defeated the Hawks was on December 18th, 2022 (69-55). CCSU will be looking to improve their all time record against the UHart to 12-24.

• The Blue Devils had two players score 20+ points in their win over SHU for the first time since January 31st, 2015 (TeJahne Malone (22) and Kayla Miller (20)). Belle Lanpher scored 28 and Forever Toppin finished with 25.
• Lanpher has now scored in double figures in ten out of her sixteen games played this season and six out of her last seven.
• Toppin also tallied a career-high of seven steals. Central tallied 13 steals total, the fifth game in the last seven with 10 or more.
• Rohkohl led CCSU on the boards with nine rebounds, six offensive.
• The Blue Devils scored 20+ points in three of the four quarters and now have 20 or more points in 13 quarters this season.
• This was the first time Central defeated the Pioneers since February 3rd, 2018, ending a nine-game losing streak against SHU.
• Belle Lanpher led the Blue Devils against SFBK on 2/2 with a career-high of 30 points. 
• Rohkohl is third in the NEC with 7.1 rebounds per game and third in blocks at 1.1 per game.
• Meghan Kenefick is also ranked in the top 10 in rebounding at fifth (6.6 per game). She is second in the NEC in minutes per game (35.0).
• Lanpher is ranked in four statistical categories: sixth in scoring (12.9 pts. per game), seventh in 3FGM per game (1.5), eighth in assists (2.6 per game), and tenth in steals (1.4 per game).
• Toppin is ranked second in steals (2.3 per game) and tenth in blocks (0.5 per game).
• Forever Toppin has played in 110 total games in her career at CCSU with 70 starts.
• Lanpher is 39-47 at the free throw line this season. She is 134-165 for her career, 81.2 percent, which ranks her third in program history.
