Lanpher Earns Player of the Week Honors

Belle Lanpher has been named the Women’s Basketball Player of the Week by the Northeast Conference. Lanpher averaged 29 points over CCSU’s last two contests, leading the Blue Devils in scoring in both games.

Belle Lanpher has been named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the Northeast Conference. Lanpher averaged 29 points over CCSU's last two contests, leading the Blue Devils in scoring in both games. 

  • Scored a career-high of 30 points against Saint Francis Brooklyn. This is the first time a Blue Devil has scored 30 points in a single game since 12/14/20 when Emma McCamus scored 30 at Saint Francis Brooklyn. 

  • Scored 28 points in Central's win over Sacred Heart. She has now scored in double figures in ten out of her 16 games played this season and five out of her last six. 

  • Ranked in the top ten in four statistical categories in the NEC: sixth in scoring (12.9 points per game), seventh in 3FGM (1.5 per game), eighth in assists (2.6 per game), and tenth in steals (1.4 per game). 

Lanpher was also named a Prime Performer alongside teammate Forever Toppin. Toppin scored 25 against SHU, shooting 4-for-4 from behind the arc and 11-14 from the free throw line. She also tallied a career-high of seven steals. 

The Blue Devils will be back in action on Wednesday, hosting UHart at home. Tipoff Is set for 7:00 pm.
