Women's Basketball Falls To New Hampshire

The Central Connecticut women's basketball fell 64-45 to visiting University of New Hampshire Wednesday night at Detrick Gymnasium.

The Wildcats shot 44.4 percent from the field for the game.

• After an early three from Dejah Jenkins, New Hampshire scored seven points in 1:22 to take a 9-3 lead at the 7:38 mark of the first quarter
• An Emma Bruen layup at the 4:55 mark brought CCSU within four, 9-5, before UNH rattled off a 10 of the next 12 to build a 19-7 lead with 46 seconds to play
• Forever Toppin ended the quarter with a steal and layup in the final seconds of the period
• The Wildcats scored 12 of the first 14 points of the second quarter to build a 31-11 advantage with 2:31 to play before the intermission
• UNH pushed the lead to as much as 25 points, 51-26, in the third quarter, but the Blue Devils finished the period with a 6-2 run, capped by a Belle Lanpher three, to close within 53-32
