Blue Devils Travel to Wagner Friday

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team is back on the road for its final pair of regular season road games. The Blue Devils travel to Staten Island, NY to look for a season sweep over the Wagner Seahawks on Friday, Feb. 21. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. and is game one of a double-header. The men take on Wagner following the women's game at 7 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on NEC Front Row.

GAME NOTES | CCSU

Last Time Out • CCSU fell to Fairleigh Dickinson 63-55 on Monday. The Blue Devils cut the lead to two with 7:49 to play, but a 12-2 run by the Knights pushed the lead back to double-digits. Emma McCamus led all scorers with 25 points.

Most Recent for the Seahawks • The Seahawks fell 67-52 on Monday afternoon to Mount St. Mary's. Trailing by 16 points with under a minute left to play in the third quarter, Wagner battled back in cutting the deficit in half with 6:34 left in the contest before MSM closed out the game on a 14-7 run.

Earlier this Season •  Central defeated Wagner 66-63 back on Jan. 25 led by Ashley Forker who scored 23 points. The Seahawks scored to go ahead 63-62 with 22.3 seconds left to play. CCSU went 4-4 from the foul line, with two makes each by Forker and Ashley Berube, in the final 14 seconds to edge the win.

With a Win... • CCSU earns a season sweep against the Seahawks...Central earns its third win of the season and second NEC victory snapping a six-game skid...The Blue Devils give Wagner its fourth straight loss.
