Women's Basketball Battles Bulldogs Saturday
Tip off against Bryant is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team travels to Smithfield, RI to battle the Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 26 inside the Chace Athletic Center. Central dropped a 64-57 decision to Robert Morris Monday. Sophomore Ashley Berube recorded her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. CCSU fell down as much as 12 points in the fourth and cut into the double-digit deficit with back to back threes by Kiana Patterson and Emma McCamus to shorten the lead 56-50 with 4:11 on the clock, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Colonials who shot 43.8 percent from three-point range on the game.
Bryant gave Saint Francis U its second straight loss defeating the Red Flash 66-63. SFU tied the game four times in the third quarter but the Bulldogs responded with a 10-0 run. Bryant scored its last six points from the foul line, shooting a perfect 6-6 to ice the game. Hannah Scanlan led the team with 15 points shooting a solid 5-of-10 from the floor.

Series History • This game is the 23rd match-up between the Blue Devils and the Bulldogs. Bryant holds a slight 12-10 advantage in the overall series. In the last six meetings, each team has won at home and lost on the road. A victory would be the first time Central has won a game in Chace Athletic Center since Feb. 23, 2013.
