Looking for its third straight win, the Central Connecticut women's basketball team welcomes Bryant to Detrick Gymnasium for a 1:00 p.m. contest on Saturday, February 10. The Blue Devils head into the contest on a two-game winnining streak after picking up a road victory over Sacred Heart and topping Fairleigh Dickinson on last Monday at home.

CCSU IN THE NEC • The Blue Devils sit at 4-7 in the conference and is tied for seventh with Mount St. Mary's in the NEC standings.
LAST TIME OUT • CCSU cruised past the Knights of FDU in its most convincing victory of the season, 76-56. For the second consecutive game, four women's basketball players scored in double-figures, led by a game-high 21 points from junior
Andi Lydon. CCSU shot a season-best 46.8 percent from the floor on 29-of-62 shooting. The Blue Devils were lights-out from three-point land, netting 11-of-23 (.478) three-pointers, marking the fifth time this season CCSU has notched 10 or more threes in a game.
MOST RECENTLY FOR BRYANT • Last weekend the Bulldogs fell to FDU on their home floor in Smithfield, RI 77-69 in overtime on Saturday and then bounced back on the winning track on Monday, beating Sacred Heart 60-56 at home. Bryant was led by junior Kierra Palmer with 11 points helping the Bulldogs move to a tie in third place with FDU in the NEC standings.
SERIES HISTORY • Saturday marks the 21st all-time meeting between CCSU and Bryant, with the Bulldogs holding a small 11-9 edge over the Blue Devils. Earlier this season Central traveled to Chace Arena only to suffer a 66-50 defeat to Bryant who earned its first NEC victory after starting the cycle 0-2.
HIGH FIVES FOR HINES • The junior guard has kicked it into the next gear for the Blue Devils. In the past three games, Hines is averaging a 57.1 field goal percentage and 13.0 points per game. The Maryland product notched a career-high 19 points against FDU on Feb. 5 that was paced by a 4-for-6 effort from three-point range and pulled down a season-high six rebounds in her best showing of the year.
FROM DEEP • CCSU ranks third in the NEC in threepoint field goals made (165) and threes made per game (7.5). On the flipside, CCSU ranks 43rd nationally and first in the NEC in three-point field goal defense, holding teams to just 28.6 percentage from deep.
UP NEXT • Central Connecticut will have its second bye of Northeast Conference action on Monday, February 12 before taking a road trip to Wagner (Feb. 17) and Mount St. Mary's (Feb. 19) the following weekend.
