The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will take a short road trip to West Hartford, CT on Wednesday, Dec. 6 to challenge its backyard rival Hartford inside the Reich Family Pavilion. The Blue Devils and the Hawks tip off at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN 3 in the 31st meeting between the two schools.

SERIES HISTORY • The Hartford Hawks hold a 22-8 advantage in the all-time history with the Blue Devils. The last time Central topped its backyard foe was on November 26, 2013 in dominating fashion, 82-50, at the Reich Family Pavilion.
LAST YEAR VS. HAWKS • Despite Lydon's double-double performance with 14 points and a career-high 15 boards, the Blue Devils fell to Hartford 68-58 in their home-opener last season. CCSU had 18 turnovers to UHart's eight. Central hit 18-of-20 free throws while the Hawks hit 14-of-17.
LYDON LEADS • The Allison Park, PA product leads the women's basketball team in scoring and rebounding through the first five matches of the 2017-18 regular season. Lydon is averaging 13.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg and is draining 41.9 percent of her field goal attempts.
HAWK WATCH • Coming off two career-tying-high games in scoring, sophomore Sierra DeCosta knocked down 26 points in UHart's last two contests against Niagra and North Carolina. Junior Lindsey Abed leads the Hawks offense with 13.4 ppg. Decosta and senior Darby Lee each average double-figures with 10.9 and 10.0 ppg. respectively. With an up-tempo, aggressive style of play, Hartford is forcing +7.4 more turnovers and 12.6 steals per game.
CLUTCH FROM THE LINE • Lydon currently ranks second in the NEC and 80th in the country for her highly efficient 85.7 free throw percentage average. The junior has converted 24-of-28 foul shots this year. Lydon has not missed a free throw in the past three games draining 12 consecutive for CCSU.
