Women's Basketball Meets LIU Brooklyn Monday Night
Central previously defeated LIU Brooklyn, 76-71, in Brooklyn, NY back on January 16.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team meet up with LIU Brooklyn for the second time this season at 7:00 p.m. inside Detrick Gymnasium. CCSU slid by the Blackbirds back on January 16, 76-71, on LIU's turf. The Blue Devils drained 27-of-29 of their free throw attempts, and senior guard, Aleah Epps, led the way with 22 points, eight boards, and six assists.

LIU Brooklyn fell to league leader Sacred Heart, 48-66. Shanovia Dove netted 15 points in the loss.
Series History (16-18) • LIU holds a slight two game advantage in the overall series, 18-16, over Central. The two teams split last season's series 1-1, with Central topping the Blackbirds at Steingberg Wellness Center,65-57, on Feb. 15th. The Blue Devils dropped their home contest with LIU, 59-45, on Jan. 4th.
Last Time Out • Sophomore Andi Lydon finessed in a jumpshot over a Bryant defender in the lane on Saturday with 6.5 seconds remaining to secure a Central Connecticut women's basketball, 53-52 victory. Turnover Prone • LIU Brooklyn is currently last in the league in assists, averaging just 9.0 per game. Giving up 17.7 possessions a contest, the Blue Devils will looks to captialize on LIU's negatie assist/turnover ratio.
Dealing with Dove • Senior Shanovia Dove caused quite a raucous for the Blue Devil defense last time they met this season. Dove padded the stats with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. CCSU will look to keep the NEC's fourth ranked scorer under her average of 15.3 points per game agaisnt conferene opponents on Monday.
Getting on the Glass • Central Connecticut sits at the top of the rebounding standings in the NEC, averaging 15.7 offensive, and 30.8 defensive boards per game. The New Britain group has been dominating its challengers on the glass by a double-figure margin of 12.0 rebounds. CCSU is first in the league in rebounding margin, gathering 8.4 more than second place Bryant.
Aleah Administers • Senior point guard, Aleah Epps stands as the Northeast Conference's forerunner in assists, with a total of 44 (4.9 per game) during league play. Epps is also first in assist/turnover ratio (1.42), only giving the ball up 3.4 on average. The 5-4 guard from Bowie, MD has proven that size doesn't matter in rebounding, pulling down 6.3 defensive boards per game for CCSU, placing her at second in the NEC.
