The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell to Fordham University on Tuesday night at Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils (4-5) will return to action on Saturday against Army. The Rams improve to 6-4 on the season with the 72-36 victory.
Fordham jumped out to an early lead and took a 38-17 advantage into halftime.
The Rams continued their solid play in the second half and eventually pulled away for the victory.
Fordham shot 52.9% (27-51) from the field in the game, while the Blue Devils shot 28.3% (13-46).
Freshman Brianna Jacobs recorded a team-high seven rebounds.
Senior Amanda Harrington and sophomore Chayla Lewis both posted a team-high six points.
The Blue Devils and Black Knights will tip-off at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon inside Detrick Gym.
