CCSU Featured in NEC TV Package
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will play Mount St. Mary's on Feb. 3, the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Central Connecticut women's basketball will reach a national audience this season when the Blue Devils February 3, game against Mount St. Mary's is broadcast live on ESPN3. The Blue Devils and Mountaineers are scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. from Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, MD.
The NEC has enhanced its relationship with ESPN3, ESPN's live multi-screen sports network accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Xbox and Apple TV. ESPN3 will be the home to NEC women's basketball this winter with seven games set to be delivered, a record number for the Conference.
The NEC will enjoy its broadest TV reach to date with the 29-game package.
Among the highlights:
•Every single game will air nationally via ESPN, Fox College Sports (FCS) or the NEC's newest national partner, CBS Sports Network (CBSSN).
•An expanded women's package will be carried by ESPN3.
•The schedule features a record 19 prime time games.
•Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE) has been added as a regional partner.
•Longtime NEC regional partner MSG will broadcast 11 games, including three NEC men's tournament contests.
•Up to seven NEC Tournament games will air on a variety of networks.
•All NEC television games will be broadcast in HD.

"Not only have we enhanced our official collaboration with ESPN through increased exposures on ESPN3, but we have secured national distribution of all 29 television games including one with CBS Sports Network. To complement the national broadcasts, fans can access all other NEC home basketball games free of charge on NEC Front Row."
In March, the NEC men's and women's championship games will also be available on the ESPN family of Networks.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will open the 2013-14 season on Friday night at the University of Central Florida. The team will also play Sunday at the University of South Florida before returning to New Britain. The Blue Devils will open at home on Wednesday, Nov. 13, against Rhode Island.
