Seniors Jaleen Thomas and Jessica Babe will serve as team captains this season.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team has named seniors Jaleen Thomas and Jessica Babe as captains for the 2013-14 season. Head coach Beryl Piper made the announcement this week after Babe and Thomas were selected by their teammates to serve in the position.
"I am very excited to have Jess Babe and Jaleen Thomas as captains for the 2013-14 school year," Piper said on Monday morning. They have up-beat attitudes and are hardworking individuals who are respected by their teammates and coaches."
Babe and Thomas joined the Blue Devils as freshmen and have contributed to 48 wins over the past three seasons. This past season, as juniors, both started for CCSU and helped the team to 16 wins and the #5 seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament.
