The Stags got out to an early lead in the top of the second. Quinn McGongile singled to left field to get on base before Haley Updegraff tripled to center to drive in the run. Charli Warren laid down a bunt to single and bring in Updegraff, making the score 2-0.

CCSU battled back in the bottom of the second when Matison Piripavel homered to left center.

Fairfield took control in the top of the third, scoring five runs.

Central scored again in the bottom of the third, attempting to chip away at the Stag's lead. With two outs and Molly Bruyns on second, Kendall LaMorte singled to right field to bring Bruyns home.

The Stag's widened their lead with runs in the top of the fourth and in the top of the fifth.

Fairfield scored their final run in the top of the seventh to secure the win, making the final score 10-2.
